Some walls deserve more than a standard coat. Venetian plaster, limewash, textured renders and metallic finishes turn a flat surface into the feature of the room, with real depth and movement that a roller cannot give. These finishes are hand applied and unforgiving, so we always make a sample on your wall and get it signed off before we go full scale.

Polished and Venetian plaster
Polished plaster builds up in thin layers and is burnished back to a finish that can run from a soft suede sheen to a deep marble like polish. It is laid on by hand, trowel pass over trowel pass, which is where the depth comes from. We prepare the substrate properly first, because a polished finish shows every flaw beneath it, then build the layers to the look you are after.
Limewash and mineral finishes
Limewash gives that soft, cloudy, lived in look that has become so popular, with subtle variation across the wall that flat paint never has. It breathes, which suits older masonry homes, and it ages gracefully. We can take it from a barely there wash to a denser, moodier finish depending on the room.
Texture, metallic and decorative effects
Textured coatings add grip and shadow to a feature wall, while metallic and pearlescent finishes shift as the light moves across them. These are effect finishes, so the technique matters as much as the product. We have the tools and the hand for them, and we always trial the effect at full scale on a sample board or a section of the actual wall.
Sample first, sign off, then commit
Because these finishes are applied by hand and cannot simply be painted over to start again, we never wing it. We produce a sample in the real product, in your light, at a size big enough to judge, and we do not begin the full wall until you have seen it and signed it off. It keeps everyone confident and protects the result.
