Repairs and Prep
Most paint does not fail because of the paint. It fails because of what happened, or did not happen, before the brush. Render cracks left unsealed, rust painted straight over, mould trapped under a fresh coat, bare timber that never saw a primer. This is the unglamorous work that decides whether a job still looks sharp in five years, and we do not cut it short.

Render and crack repair
Hairline crazing and bigger structural cracks need different treatment, and reading which is which matters. We rake out and fill cracks with the right flexible filler, patch and re render damaged sections, and seal the repair so it moves with the wall rather than reopening the first hot week. Done properly, the repair disappears under the topcoat.
Rust and mould treated at the source
Paint over rust and it keeps bleeding through and lifting the coating. Paint over mould and you have just sealed it in. We treat rust back to a sound surface and prime it with a rust inhibitor, and we kill mould at the root and address the damp causing it before anything goes on top. Treating the cause, not just the stain, is the whole point.
Fill, sand and prime, every surface that needs it
Smooth, long lasting paint starts with a smooth, sealed surface. We fill holes, dents and gaps, sand back rough or glossy areas to give the new coat a key, caulk the joins, and prime bare timber, fresh render, patched areas and stains with the correct primer for each. By the time we open a tin of topcoat, the surface is already right.
Lead safe on older Sydney homes
Plenty of homes built before the 1970s carry lead paint under later coats. Disturbing it carelessly is a genuine health risk. We follow lead safe work practices when we sand or strip older surfaces, contain and clean up the dust properly, and dispose of it the right way, so the prep that protects your paint also protects your household.
