Interior Painting

A good interior repaint should feel like the room was always meant to look this way. We paint walls, ceilings, doors, skirting and trims to a clean, even finish, protect your floors and furniture from day one, and leave the place tidier than we found it. Most of all, we help you land on a colour that works in your light, not just on a chip in the shop.

The detail

How we approach
interior painting.

Colour chosen on your walls, not under shop lights

Paint behaves differently in your home than it does in a showroom. North light, west light, the size of the room and the floor underfoot all push a colour warmer or cooler. We bring large samples, brush them onto the actual walls, and look at them morning and afternoon before anyone commits. It is the single best way to avoid the off white that turns pink at four in the afternoon.

Prep is where the finish comes from

Smooth walls are not luck. We fill nail holes, dents and cracks, sand back flaking or glossy areas, spot prime bare patches and caulk the gaps where walls meet trim. Ceilings get cut in by hand for a clean line every time. By the time the topcoat goes on, the surface is already doing half the work.

Clean lines, clean floors, clean exit

We move what we safely can and cover the rest, then lay drop sheets over every floor and surface that stays. Cutting in around cornices, switches, architraves and skirting is done by brush, not just tape and hope. At the end of each day we tidy up, not just at the end of the job, so you can live in the parts of the house we are not in.

Coatings matched to the room

A bathroom ceiling, a hallway that takes knocks and a quiet bedroom all want different things. We use premium washable interior lines and pick the right sheen for each space, low sheen or matt for walls that hide imperfections, a tougher semi gloss for doors and trims, and mould resistant products for wet areas. Low VOC and low odour options are available when you want to be back in the room sooner.
