Coastal homes built for salt and sun
The Northern Beaches run a long stretch of coastline, and homes here cop salt laden air, sea spray and harsh sun, especially the beachfront suburbs from Manly through Narrabeen to Palm Beach. Render, metalwork, timber and balcony surfaces all weather quickly when the prep is rushed. We prep for the coast, washing down thoroughly to lift salt and grime, repairing and sealing before painting, and using exterior systems suited to a beachside microclimate. The exposed surfaces that fail first, like parapets, balconies and seaward facing walls, get the attention they need to hold their colour and protect the home.

Beaches homes are built for the outdoors, with a lot of weatherboard, fibro and timber, and decks, pergolas and balustrades that take constant use and weather. Bringing these surfaces back to life is something we are regularly asked to do across the area. We prep timber and weatherboard properly, sanding and cleaning back to a sound surface and treating any movement or decay, then coat or stain to suit the look and the exposure. Alongside the outdoor work we cover full interior and exterior house repaints, so the whole home is looked after together rather than piecemeal.
